Jody Joy joined Spivack & Spivack in January 2015 and focuses her practice exclusively on Pennsylvania workers’ compensation law. Ms. Joy has extensive experience in defending the rights of injured workers.
Since 2006 she was working for the prominent law firm of Martin, Banks, Pond, Lehocky & Wilson. That firm was considered among the preeminent firms in the field of workers’ compensation but has subsequently split into three separate entities. Prior to that, Ms. Joy was an associate with a boutique defense firm handling workers' compensation litigation in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey for insurance carriers, third-party administrators and self-insured parties.

Since practicing workers compensation, Ms. Joy has been nominated as a Pennsylvania Rising Star from 2007 – 2014.
Dedicated Pursuit of Knowledge
In 2003, Ms. Joy earned her law degree from Widener University School of Law, where she was a member of the Women's Law Caucus, the Student Bar Association and performed pro bono legal work for domestic violence victims as part of the Delaware Civil Clinic. She earned her B.S. degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1998. Following law school, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Craig Wellerson, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Division in Burlington County, New Jersey.
